About this swimming hole

This roughly 70-acre park, now managed by Cullman Parks and Recreation, fills a deep Hurricane Creek gorge in the Appalachian foothills with waterfalls, the Twilight Tunnel rock passage and Heaven's Staircase. Its founder hand-built a small dam across the creek to create a swimming hole, and the park's own visitor guidance includes swimming at your own risk. Picnic areas and shelters sit along the creek at the gorge bottom.
