Milnot Beach brings a resort-style day to 1,300-acre Lake Lou Yaeger, just off I-55 in Litchfield. The sandy beach pairs a large roped swimming area with giant inflatables, high and low diving platforms, volleyball, kayak and paddleboard rentals, and a lifeguard on duty. Hours run Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend — noon to 5 p.m. weekdays, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekends and holidays, weather permitting. A renovated beach house holds showers, restrooms, and a snack bar.
