About this swimming hole
Lake Scott is a 100-acre spring-fed lake hidden in the Ladder Creek canyon of western Kansas, and its swimming beach was named Kansas's best beach in USA Today's 51 Great American Beaches list, according to KDWP. A 1930s beach house at the swim beach now serves as the park concession, renting canoes and paddleboats. The surrounding 1,020-acre park also protects El Cuartelejo, the only known Indian pueblo ruins in Kansas.
