About this swimming hole
Kisatchie Falls is one of Louisiana's rare natural waterfalls - a 1-to-3-foot cascade over sandstone ledges on Kisatchie Bayou, with shallow swimming holes and a large sandbar below. It is also the state's only Class II rapids. Water levels swing with rainfall, so the falls can look very different from visit to visit.
