About this swimming hole
Missouri's largest continuous waterfall, Grand Falls spans 163 feet of Shoal Creek in Joplin, dropping 12 feet over chert ledges into a wide swimming pool. The broad, shallow rock shelf above the falls is perfect for kids to splash and hunt crawdads, while swimmers float the pool below. Its in-town location makes it the easiest waterfall swim in the state.
