About this swimming hole
Crystal Lake Park is Manchester’s official natural swimming facility, a 38-acre city park on Bodwell Road with a guarded sandy beach, bathhouse, and picnic grounds. The city opened the public bathing area in 1919 and the fieldstone bathhouse still stands after a 1987 renovation. The park gates stay open until 8 p.m. in summer; check the city health department page before going, as the beach has closed for cyanobacteria blooms.
