About this swimming hole
A 3,863-acre Duke Energy reservoir between Stokes, Rockingham, Guilford, and Forsyth counties where swimming, water skiing, and tubing are all permitted. The lake water runs unusually warm because it cools the Belews Creek power station. Forsyth County opened Belews Lake Park, the first publicly owned park on the lake, with lake frontage and trails.
