About this swimming hole
The Grundy Forest day-use loop follows Fiery Gizzard Creek past a string of small cascades and clear swimming holes beneath hemlock and hardwood canopy. Hikers cool off in deep, rock-rimmed pools where the creek slows between drops. It is part of South Cumberland State Park and one of the most beloved summer hikes on the Cumberland Plateau.
