Virgin Falls State Natural Area
Waterfall · Tennessee
About this swimming hole
One of Tennessee's most spectacular waterfall hikes ends at a 110-foot falls pouring from a cave mouth into a pristine plunge pool. The 8-mile round trip is strenuous, but swimmers who make it get an almost untouched mountain swimming hole. The falls were named for the virgin forest surrounding them.
