About this swimming hole
A swampy, primeval stretch of the Wolf River east of Memphis, the Ghost River is a famous paddling run through cypress tupelo forest. Paddlers swim from sandbars in the tea-colored water. It's wild, alligator-free, and utterly unlike the city twenty miles west.
