About this swimming hole
The U.S. side of the Amistad Reservoir is a borderland playground of clear, warm water ringed by desert hills. Swimmers head to Governors Landing or Diablo East, the designated swim areas away from boat ramps. The water is warm, the scenery is stark, and the sunsets are enormous.
