About this swimming hole
Possum Kingdom Lake has over 300 miles of shoreline and some of the clearest water in North Texas. The state park's swim area looks out on Hell's Gate, the lake's famous twin cliffs. An hour west of Fort Worth, it is the metroplex's great escape lake.
