About this swimming hole
Hermit Falls is a 30-foot waterfall in the San Gabriels above Arcadia, reached by a steep mile-long descent from Chantry Flat. The deep pool at its base is one of LA's most popular cliff-jumping spots, with ledges from 10 to 40 feet. The hike out is brutally steep — bring more water than you think you need.
