Energy Lake Campground, inside Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area, has a campers-only beach and designated swimming area on Energy Lake, a small, calm, no-wake inland lake separated from Lake Barkley by the Energy Dam. The beach is available only to registered campers at the 35-site campground, which also rents canoes and kayaks in season. The campground is open March 1 through November 30, with some loops open in winter.
