About this swimming hole
Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park maintains one of the few public-access sand beaches on Kentucky Lake, the 160,000-acre Tennessee River reservoir formed by Kentucky Dam. The beach sits at the edge of Kentucky Dam near Gilbertsville and is open to the public free of charge, with a protected swimming area, a pavilion and beach volleyball courts. It is separate from the park's lodge pool, which is for lodge and cottage guests only.
