About this swimming hole

The municipal beach of the small Chesapeake Bay town of North Beach, platted in 1900 as a rail-era summer resort, with a half-mile boardwalk and a public fishing pier along Bay Avenue. The town states the bay here has minimal wave action, and the beach officially opens each Memorial Day.
