About this swimming hole
Near L'Anse, Canyon Falls drops the Sturgeon River through a narrow gorge into a deep, cold plunge pool ringed by cliffs. Jumpers work the ledges up to about 40 feet, making this the UP's most dramatic natural diving spot. Trails and overlooks above the gorge give non-jumpers a front-row view of the spectacle.
