About this swimming hole
Tucked just outside Marquette, Wetmore Landing wraps a horseshoe of white sand around a protected Lake Superior cove. The sheltered water runs noticeably warmer than the open lake, and the sandy bottom with calm water makes it as family-friendly as a Superior beach gets. Adventurous swimmers also find a small cliff-jumping area at one end of the cove.
