About this swimming hole
Fort Ransom State Park sits in the heavily wooded Sheyenne River Valley, two miles north of the town of Fort Ransom, along the Sheyenne River Valley National Scenic Byway. Visitors can take a dip anywhere in the park's stretch of the Sheyenne River, and there are designated swimming areas where it is easier to get in and out of the water. The park also rents kayaks and canoes, and offers more than 20 miles of trails, campgrounds, yurts, and cabins.
